Chicken Prosciutto Recipe

chicken prosciutto

Looking to make something different this Christmas, where you don’t have to stay in the kitchen all day, but it tastes like you did?  This meal could be your answer.  This is truly scrumptious, tastes gourmet even, but it’s easy enough to make on a week-night!

Chicken Prosciutto:

Prep time: 15 minutes, Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

Chicken breasts

Flour

Pepper, Couple Shakes

Garlic Salt, Couple Shakes

Onion Powder, Couple Shakes

Thinly Sliced Prosciutto

Thick slices of Fondina Cheese

Chicken Broth

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375. Pound chicken.  Place flour on a plate and season with: pepper, garlic salt and onion powder, stir.  Dredge chicken in flour.  Cook chicken on stove top with olive oil for a couple minutes on each side until browned.  Place chicken in an oven safe pan with lip.  Place a piece of prosciutto on top of chicken, followed by a piece of cheese.  Pour chicken broth on top.  Bake for about 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.

I normally serve this with pasta cooked in olive oil, garlic and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and oven baked asparagus.  Delicious!
